Use this page to ask clearer questions in Chat with Ergo, search, scheduled runs, draft reprompting, templates, and post-call instructions.

Who can use this

  • Everyone using Ergo, plus admins who configure sources, templates, instructions, or scheduled outputs.

Before you start

  • Know which Ergo account, team, and source objects should answer the question.
  • Confirm whether you are a user, admin, super admin, or spectator.
  • Ask an admin or super admin before changing access, recording, integration, scheduled-run, template, or post-call-instruction defaults.

Steps

  • Name the account or company, deal, meeting, document, report, date range, and desired output.
  • Ask for the format you want, such as bullets, next steps, risks, call prep, a draft, or a summary.
  • Tell Ergo which context to use: a specific meeting, the latest customer conversation, a deal, a date range, a document, a report, or a set of sources.
  • Tell Ergo what to exclude, especially internal chatter, stale sources, or unverified assumptions.
  • Open cited sources before acting on high-stakes answers or proposed actions.

What to expect

  • Specific prompts reduce wrong-context answers.
  • Answers and generated outputs are only as good as the available sources, permissions, and prompt context.
  • For scheduled or recurring outputs, test a manual run or preview when that control is available before enabling repeat delivery.

Common issues

  • The wrong Ergo account, team, source, account record, or date range is selected.
  • The needed source is disconnected, stale, unmatched, or outside your access.
  • The prompt is too broad or does not name the deal, meeting, customer, output format, or time window.
  • A meeting share link is treated like dashboard access; it only gives access to that specific shared meeting view.
