Symptoms
- Search returns no matching meetings, emails, documents, deals, or sources.
- An AI answer says there is no relevant context.
- A report, dashboard, chart, or widget is empty.
- A reporting email preview has no usable evidence.
Most common causes
- Filters, date ranges, owner/team scope, or source fields are too narrow.
- The underlying source has not synced, indexed, or processed yet.
- The viewer lacks reporting access, meeting access, or shared-link access.
- Custom fields, reporting fields, picklists, or numerical buckets have not populated.
- The query is too specific for the available source text.
What to check
- Broaden the date range and remove filters.
- Confirm source data exists for the affected time window.
- Confirm meetings, emails, CRM records, or documents are processed and visible to the viewer.
- Check reporting access, dashboard sharing, and shared-link permissions.
- Verify custom fields, picklists, numerical buckets, and reporting fields are configured and populated.
Resolution steps
- Start with one known meeting, email, CRM record, or dashboard that should return results.
- Remove filters before changing field definitions or source connections.
- If the source exists but the viewer cannot see it, resolve access before rerunning the report.
- If a scheduled preview is empty, confirm the preview window includes recent processed activity.
When to contact support
- Contact support when a known source is processed, filters are broad, access is correct, and results are still empty.
- Include the workspace, affected user, source type, search/report/dashboard name, filters, expected example, and approximate time window.
- Keep examples generalized and avoid sharing sensitive customer content in support requests.
