Who can use this
- Users whose AI-generated emails should include their own signature.
- Admins and operators troubleshooting duplicate or missing signatures.
Before you start
- Connect your email provider first.
- Confirm the signature in your mail client is the signature you want Ergo to use.
- Avoid adding closing/signature text inside templates when a connected signature will be appended automatically.
Steps
- Open the email signature settings in Ergo.
- Fetch or refresh the signature from your connected email account.
- Send or preview a test draft in the workflow your team uses to confirm the signature appears once.
- Update the signature in your email provider, then refresh it in Ergo if the content changes.
What to expect
- Ergo can append the connected signature to generated email output.
- Signature display can vary by draft destination or mail client, so verify the path your team actually sends from.
- Draft generation is instructed not to write a separate sign-off or signature when the system appends one.
- If no connected signature is available, templates and draft review become more important.
Common issues
- The email provider connection is expired.
- The signature was changed in the email provider but not refreshed in Ergo.
- A template includes its own signature, causing duplicate closings.
