Annotated Ergo Desktop settings screen showing sign-in, permissions, status, and upload health. Use this page when live transcript, audio capture, or mute behavior is not matching what you expect in Ergo Desktop.

Who can use this

  • Desktop users monitoring live transcript during a call.
  • Operators troubleshooting missing speaker turns or incomplete transcript.

Before you start

  • Sign in to Ergo Desktop.
  • Grant microphone and system-audio permissions required by your setup.
  • Confirm your network can reach the transcription service.

Steps

  • Start a desktop recording or live capture session.
  • Open the transcript view if you need to inspect live transcript output.
  • Check whether both your microphone audio and the other side’s audio are being captured.
  • Use mute controls intentionally and verify transcript behavior after muting or unmuting.
  • Stop capture when the session ends.

What to expect

  • Live transcript depends on audio capture and temporary transcription credentials.
  • The app separates speaker turns such as Me and Them when the capture path supports it.
  • Partial transcript can update before final transcript is saved, and live output may be less polished than the final processed transcript.
  • Muting or missing audio input can reduce transcript completeness.

Common issues

  • Microphone or system audio permission is missing.
  • Temporary transcription credentials could not be fetched.
  • Network interruption prevents live transcript updates.
  • Recording did not start or stop normally, so no complete transcript was produced.
  • The wrong input device is active or muted.
